Academy College Credit Courses for High School Students
Academy College Credit Courses for High School Students at NJIT are designed for high-achieving 11th and 12th graders who are interested in earning college credits while still in high school.

Participants earn NJIT college credits in small, customized classes taught by faculty who have been recognized for their commitment to teaching excellence. Classes meet on Saturdays during the Fall and Spring semesters, and Monday through Thursday during the Summer semester session. At the end of the program, grades are recorded on an NJIT transcript which, upon your request to the Registrar, will be sent to the university or universities of your choice. Course credits can be applied toward an undergraduate degree at NJIT and most other colleges and universities (varies by institution).

This is a 5-week semester running through July into August, Mondays to Thursdays - No Class on Fridays.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (MATH ends at 01:00 pm)

Business
Mgmt 190 - Industrial Organization and Management (3 credits): Introduction to business enterprise, including organization structure, basis of authority and responsibility, financial systems, marketing, the interaction of government and business, and the interrelationships of the broad economic, political, psychological and social influences upon business. This is an entry-level management course and part of the freshman-year curriculum at NJIT.

Computer Science
CS 104 - Computer Programming and Graphics Problems (3 credits): An introductory course in computer science with applications in computer graphics for architecture. Emphasis on programming methodology using a high-level language as the vehicle to illustrate the concepts. Topics include basic concepts of computer systems, software engineering, algorithm design, programming languages and data abstraction, with applications.

Mathematics
MATH 110 - University Mathematics B II - Trigonometry (4 credits): PRE-CALCULUS. Intended for students whose major requires MATH 111 - Calculus. Trigonometric functions and identities, laws of sines and cosines, logarithmic equations, systems of nonlinear equations, polar coordinates. Prerequisite: MATH 108, Algebra II or placement by performance on standardized entrance examinations.

ENGL 101 - English Composition: Introduction to Academic Writing (3 credits): This course provides an introduction to college-level writing, particularly the rhetorical dimensions of composition, including purpose, audience, occasion, and genre. The course also focuses on the writing process, asking students to brainstorm topics, to write drafts, and to revise their writing based on reflection and peer feedback. Activities in the course involve reading challenging articles, essays, and prose and considering paintings, films, and other visual compositions. Additionally, students work to analyze claims, to formulate independent arguments, and to communicate ideas through clear, well-organized writing. Prerequisites: Entrance is determined by high school report card grades.
Requirements
- A copy of your high school transcript (Unofficial transcript is accepted).
- Current report card.
- Maintain a "B" or better grade average.
- If the student's grade average is below a "B", an additional teacher recommendation letter will be required.
- A recommendation from a school guidance counselor.
- A non-refundable $60.00 application fee.
- Optional: A copy of your PSAT or SAT scores (If not available, it will be waived).
Program Costs
- Application fee: $60.00 (non-refundable).
- Tuition fee: $563.00 per credit (Calculate the total tuition by multiplying $563.00 by the number of credits of the class you will take).
- No student/university fees.
- Textbooks: Costs depend on the course(s) taken. Books can be purchased at the NJIT Bookstore and online.
Refund Policy:
- Application fees are non-refundable.
- For all student programs except Academy College Courses and Options for Advanced Academic Achievement, tuition is refundable up until 1 month prior to the start of the program. After this date, tuition is nonrefundable. A written request for the refund must be received prior to the 1-month deadline.
- For Academy College Courses and Options for Advanced Academic Achievement, please note the NJIT add/drop deadlines.

- ENGINEERING INTRO: FED 101 - Fundamental of Engineering (2 credits). Prerequisite: Algebra II ("B" grade average or higher).
Requirements:
- A copy of your high school transcript. (Unofficial transcripts are accepted)
- Current report card.
- Maintain a "B" or better grade average.
- If the student's grade average is below a "B", an additional teacher recommendation letter will be required to be considered for the program.
- A recommendation from a school guidance counselor.
- A non-refundable $60.00 application fee.
- Optional: A copy of your PSAT or SAT scores. (If not available, it will be waived)
Program Costs:
- Application fee: $60.00 (non-refundable). *The Application Fee is due once you submit the application, the link will be provided on the application portal.
- Tuition fee: $563.00 per credit (Please multiply this cost by the number of credits you will take). *The Tuition Fee is due in full before class begins, you will receive a link and instructions once you are accepted into the program.
- Textbooks: Costs depend on the course(s) taken. Books can be purchased at the NJIT Bookstore and online.
Refund Policy:
- Application fees are non-refundable.
- Tuition fees might be refundable depending on the Withdrawal deadlines, once you are accepted into the program refer to the instructions and academic calendar that you will be provided with.
- Withdrawals are to be requested in writing by email sent to academy@baoqiuyue.net. Withdrawals are considered following the NJIT academic calendar.
- For all student programs except Academy College Courses and Options for Advanced Academic Achievement, tuition is refundable up until 1 month prior to the start of the program. After this date, tuition is nonrefundable. A written request for the refund must be received prior to the 1-month deadline.

COMPUTER SCIENCE: CS 100 - Roadmap to Computing (3 credits).
An introduction to programming and problem-solving skills using Python or other very high-level language. Topics include basic strategies for problem-solving, constructs that control the flow of execution of a program, and the use of high-level data types such as lists, strings, and dictionaries in problem representation. The course also presents an overview of selected topics in computing, such as networking and databases. Prerequisites: Algebra II. Pre-calculus and coding knowledge are a plus.
